Don't Let Me Follow Dan's Example

Joshua 19:47

But the tribe of Dan had trouble taking possession of their land, so they attacked the town of Laish. They captured it, slaughtered its people, and settled there. They renamed the down Dan after their ancestor.

The tribe of Dan revealed their lack of faith by doing this. They had been given land as their territory and told to conquer that because the people were wicked and idolatrous. They went outside of God's will and chose the path of least resistance by attacking a peaceful city that was not under God's judgement.

Lord, how often to I take the path of least resistance because I am afraid to trust you? Help me to remember that you are bigger and more powerful than even my most difficult and overwhelming problems. You love me and want to use them to train me. You want me to be an example to those who are watching me. Let me follow hard after my example, Jesus Christ! In Jesus' name, amen. <3
