Don't Let Me Infect Others

Leviticus 13:45-46
"Those who suffer from a serious skin disease must tear their clothing and leave their hair uncombed. They must cover their mouth and call out, 'Unclean! Unclean!' As long as the serious disease lasts, they will be ceremonially unclean. They must live in isolation in their place outside the camp."

The Bible often uses leprosy as a picture of sin. Sin can be highly contagious, like leprosy. It separates us from God and can also isolate us from family and friends.

Lord, help me to be quick to catch those little foxes before they ruin the vineyard of my love for you and others. Help me to guard against becoming infected by those other voices. But when I do, don't let me infect others with my sin.

Lord, help me to be aware of the voices those around me are listening to. Don't let me become infected by their sin. If they know this message, help me to lovingly send them to you for cleansing. If they don't, then help me to pray for them and perhaps share this message if they are open to it.

Thank you for your word! Even though it seems harsh at times, like the way the lepers had to tear their clothing, leave their hair uncombed, call out "unclean!", and live in isolation. It's only because you are very serious about protecting us and because you long to see us turn from our wicked ways and submit to you so you can heal and cleanse us. I love you so much!! In Jesus' name, amen. <3

MEMORY VERSES
James 1:19-21
Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters. You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry. Human anger does not produce the righteousness God desires. So get rid of all the filth and evil in your lives, and humbly accept the word God has planted in your hearts, for it has the power to save your souls.
James 1:19-21

Psalm 19:12-14
How can I know all the sins lurking in my heart?
Cleanse me from these hidden faults.
Keep your servant from deliberate sins!
Don't let them control me.
Then I will be free of gilt
and innocent of great sin.
May the words of my mouth
and the meditation of my heart
be pleasing to you,
O LORD my rock and my redeemer.
Psalm 19:12-14
